Wheat Environment

Winter wheat is grown throughout Germany, but the major growing areas are concentrated in the central part of the nation. Bayren produces 19 percent of Germany’s total wheat production. Niedersachsen is the second largest wheat producing state in Germany, growing 17 percent of all the wheat in Germany. The remainder of the production is evenly spread throughout the rest of the country. The only Varity of wheat that Germany grows in any sort of quantity is winter wheat. The planting season for winter wheat begins around the first of October and runs through the end of the month. Harvest begins the next August and runs through the end of the month.
